Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small pieces of information a website or service can store in your browser and receive with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser mechanism that keeps values for a website on the device. Local storage does not automatically accompany every web request, but scripts from the same site can read it. Both can be used to remember choices.

Storage used by the calculator

The currently installed health calculators do not store a health profile or their entered measurements in local storage. The shared theme preference described below applies across calculator pages.

This website includes the Google AdSense advertising script. Google and participating advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies when advertisements are served, as described below. The current website code does not include a separate analytics tracker. The homepage calculator uses local storage for the following features:

  • Color theme: calculator-hub-theme remembers the selected dark or light appearance.
  • Calculation tape: lumina-calculation-tape-v1 keeps up to 100 recent calculations so you can view or reuse them.

These values do not have a scheduled expiry in the calculator code. They remain until cleared, replaced by the feature, or removed by your browser. Private browsing and browser settings can limit persistence. Some category tools may have additional browser features or external reference services; review any information on the relevant page.

Hosting and third-party services

The published site's hosting or security service may use cookies or related technology to deliver or protect the website. Those practices depend on the provider and deployment settings. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own storage policies.

Advertising if enabled

If Google AdSense or another advertising service is enabled, Google and participating providers may use cookies, identifiers, or similar technology to select advertisements, measure performance, limit repetition, and detect misuse. Personalized advertising may use activity from this and other websites. Advertising storage is separate from the calculator's saved theme and history.

Read Google's cookie information and Google's advertising information. You can manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center and participating third-party choices through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool. Provider choices can be specific to a browser or device.

Manage or remove stored information

Use the calculation tape's Clear control to remove saved calculation entries. To remove saved history and preferences entirely, open your browser's privacy or site settings, find this website, and clear its site data or local storage. Clearing cookies alone may leave local storage intact. Removing the theme preference returns the site to its default appearance.

Your browser may let you block cookies, restrict third-party storage, or delete data automatically. These settings can affect preferences or external services. Blocking advertising cookies does not necessarily remove all advertisements.

Consent choices

Where the published site presents a consent interface, use it to accept, reject, or manage the optional technologies offered and to revisit your choices. Where consent is legally required, reading this policy or continuing to browse is not a substitute for the required consent process. A consent choice and a browser storage setting may operate separately.
