What our calculators explain
A useful calculator should state what to enter, which units it accepts, what the displayed result means, and the assumptions that affect it. Articles and examples are intended to help you understand the arithmetic rather than promise a personal outcome.
Formulas and references
Where a tool uses a named equation, published range, or external reference, look for its method and source information on the calculator page. A reference supports the specific method or statement attached to it; it does not mean that the source endorses this website. Rounding and unit conversions can produce small differences between worked examples and displayed results.
Examples include a weight-for-height BMI calculation, a resting-energy equation, and a sleep schedule based on a chosen cycle length. These answer different questions. A simplified model is not a measurement of your individual physiology.
Health content and limits
Our health tools provide general educational information. The owner is not presented as a clinician, and we do not claim clinical review or certification of these calculators. Results do not diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment, or replace advice from a qualified health professional.
Read the age limits and other cautions shown by each tool. Adult estimates can be unsuitable during childhood, pregnancy, illness, recovery, or when a clinician has recommended a specific plan. For a concern about your health or symptoms, seek appropriate professional care instead of relying on a calculator result.
Reporting and correcting errors
Send the page address, the values and units entered, the displayed result, and the result you expected. A reproducible worked example or source link is especially useful. Do not send private health records or unnecessary personal details.
Reports may concern a formula, conversion, example, reference, label, broken link, or display issue. We use reproducible reports to investigate and revise affected content. We do not promise a fixed response time or claim that every tool has been independently audited. A policy revision date does not mean that every calculator was clinically reviewed on that date.
Advertising and independence
Advertisements, if introduced, should be distinguishable from calculator controls and editorial content. An advertisement is not a recommendation or an endorsement by Calculator. Sponsored relationships affecting content should be disclosed where they occur. The current calculator results are not altered by an advertiser.
